I came across actual research about massage therapy and its beneficial effect on pain and pain management. You can read about it here, or you can read my thoughts below.
Over the 12 years I have practiced massage therapy, I have seen first hand, the incredible results my clients have received, who suffer from chronic pain and tension and range of motion problems. Massage Essentials focuses on relieving, quickly and permanently, chronic pain and tension, thereby improving, not only the physicality of the person, but other aspects of their wellness, such as social, mental, emotional and spiritual. Chronic pain absolutely affects a person’s daily activities, family life and work in all areas mentioned above. “Massage Therapy for Pain. There has been a rise in the use of complementary and integrative medicine (CIM) therapies due to the high prevalence of pain, unsatisfactory results from conventional pain treatment, and the need to address the whole patient.” “Conclusion. Based on the evidence, massage therapy, compared to no treatment, should be strongly recommended as a pain management option.” (Citations taken from this website.) So, what are you waiting for?

Most people don’t like pain very much. This is the main reason people end up on my table for a massage. Since I have experienced my share (and more) of pain in my life, I have spent years researching it and why in the world we have it when it seems like we have done nothing to cause it.
It is certainly a mystery. I have figured out, through much study and personal experience mind you, a huge reason, if not the MAIN reason, for most of the mysterious aches, pain and tension we experience on a daily, and sometimes an hourly basis. Those pains that just will NOT go away no matter how much exercise, sleep, rest, chiropractic visits, or essentials oils we slather on ourselves or (add anything you’ve tried here). Many people believe that no pain is no gain. But come on! You’re getting a massage because you're IN pain. Why, oh why, would you want to suffer more pain to get rid of pain? It doesn’t make sense. The entire time my clients are on my table, they are comfortable, relaxed and feel like something good is happening to their muscles. And it is. I am committed to using all my experience and the many methods and therapies I have learned, to achieve my goal of creating a comfortable, enjoyable experience for every one of my clients, yet achieving deep tissue, or structural results, (these therapies can be extremely painful, BTW), that will last much longer than the painful ones. This therapy is something you want to experience for yourself. Because that’s truly the only way to find out. Each of my clients is unique and I work with each one to be sure their experience is pain free and relaxing, with long lasting results. Come check it out. No, really. What do you have to lose except an hour out of your week, to see just what pain free, more fluidity and easier breathing feels like? Many people consider massage to be a luxury, or something you do for a date once in a while. Perhaps you think its simply a way to relax and let go of all your troubles for an hour. It can, and is, all of those things. But what if it were something more?
What if, after an hour, you felt a spring in your step? What if it didn’t hurt to sit down and stand up from a chair or your car? What if you could breathe easier, or lift your arms without pain, or even walk faster? And what about those daily headaches, or migraines? What if they disappeared? For good? All of these things are not only possible, but probable, just spending an hour on Loraine’s massage table. So, perhaps the question really is, “What do you have to GAIN?” Hmmm. Definitely something to think about. Then after thinking for say, one minute, acting on it and scheduling your hour online at massageessentialstherapy.com, to see what YOU have to gain from just one hour. See you soon! |
